The VW Group – a big kingdom of lies or what?

The recent details have been revealed that the 3.0-litre V6 diesel engines also contain auxiliary emissions control device.


 According to the details, Audi’s US operational division has accepted that the 3.0-litre TDI V6 diesel engine also contains cheating device or software to manipulate emission figures. The models of the years 2009 to 2016 with 3.0-litre TDI V6 diesel engines contain cheating device, Audi US sources revealed.



The EPA’s Findings.

It is important to mention that the EPA (The US Environmental Protection Agency) already found that the 3.0-litre TDI V6 engine also contained cheating device but the VW Group categorically denied the fact. The automobile Group respond quickly and rejected the claims about TDI V6 diesel engine made by EPA during their findings.


Auxiliary Emissions Control Device

It is not cheating device but “auxiliary emissions control device” installed in 3.0-litre TDI V6 diesel engine, it doesn’t break the emission law in EU but it was supposed to be disclosed to the US’ environmental authorities, an Audi spokesman said. 

It is the irony that the Audi never disclosed any information earlier about “auxiliary emission control device” to the US government even after the revelation of diesel gate scam back in September 2015.


VW’s stance on Recent Revelation

Now Audi has disclosed the fact that A6, A7, A8 and Q5 all contain “auxiliary emission control device”.The VW’s Touareg and the Porsche Cayenne also contain the auxiliary emission control device.The official figures suggest that the further 85,000 VW Group vehicle could have cheating device to manipulate emission figures during tests.

The officials at Audi argue that the huge mistakes have been made but we are committed to comply with the regulators both in the US and Europe.

All these lies made by VW Group adding a fuel to escalate the scam further and further. The situation is escalating anti-diesel sentiments and giving a new life to dead anti-diesel movement in the UK
